Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information Fairee receives when you use its community marketplace, why we use it, who may see it, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Fairee websites, community pages, organiser and contributor workspaces, stalls, listings, orders, payments, messages, support and related services that link to this policy.

Contributors and organisers may independently collect information from you for their own businesses. Their independent use of that information is governed by their own privacy practices.

2. Information we may collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your name, email address, phone number, account identifiers, profile details, preferences and authentication information.

Fairee activity and content

This includes Fairees you join or create, stall and listing details, descriptions, prices, photos, messages, offers, order notes and other content you choose to provide.

Orders and technical information

We may collect order references, amounts, currencies, payment status, timestamps, browser and device details, IP address, security events, diagnostics and server logs.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and improve Fairee accounts, marketplaces, stalls, listings, orders and support.
  • Show information to the people and communities you choose to engage with.
  • Process transactions, prevent fraud and maintain transaction records.
  • Communicate about orders, account access, safety, support and material service changes.
  • Protect the service, enforce our terms and comply with legal obligations.

4. When information is shared

We may share information with a contributor, organiser or buyer when it is needed for an interaction or order you initiate; with providers that help operate Fairee, such as hosting, communications, payments, security or analytics providers; when you direct us to share it; or where required for safety, fraud prevention or law.

Public profiles, stalls, listings, reviews and Fairee pages may be visible outside your immediate network and can be copied or reshared by others.

5. Payments

Payment providers may collect card, bank, UPI, identity or billing information directly under their own policies. Fairee may receive limited transaction details, such as an order reference, amount, currency, payment status and timestamp, to operate the order and provide support.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, security, session continuity, analytics and feature operation. Browser controls can limit cookies, though essential Fairee features may no longer work correctly.

7. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent, object to certain processing or ask questions about how we handle your data. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. No internet service is completely secure. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Fairee, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and enforce agreements.
